What Is Axe Throwing?
Similar to darts, axe throwing is an individual sport played with and against other members of a group. Individuals throw 1.5 lb. hatchets at wooden targets marked with a bullseye and score points based on where on the target they stick the axe.
Is it safe?
Safety is the most important detail at The Hatchet Factory. Each competitor throws in his/her own individual lane and competes side-by-side with another competitor. For each pair of throwing competitors, we have a throwing coach who is responsible for ensuring safety protocols are adhered to. Only the two active competitors throwing at that time are allowed within the throwing area, all other competitors are required to wait in the safety zone behind the lanes.
What are the minimum age requirements?
We have no age minimum! All ages are welcome to throw at the Factory!
Do I need to book or can I just come in?
You definitely need to book ahead for group events.
What if more or fewer people want to come after I've
already booked my reservation?
The more, the merrier - just let us know in advance so we can be sure there's room for everyone to throw! BUT heads up: your booking holds those spots, so if a few brave souls chicken out and don't show, NO refunds or credits will be given.
Will someone teach me how to do this?
Of course! Our trained coaches will be with you the whole time, supervising every tournament and overseeing every session beginning with safety rules and 1-on-1 throwing lessons.
Am I allowed to bring alcohol?
We are a BYOB facility. Our guests are welcome to bring beer, wine or cider. No liquor will be allowed. No shots allowed.
Do you have any food or soft drinks for sale? Can we bring our own?
We do have drinks and snack available. No hot food is available. Please feel free to bring your own food and drinks!
Is there parking?
There is plenty of parking in front of our location as well as across the street.
How do I pay?
When booking all reservations are paid in full at the time of booking to make check in a breeze. CANCELLATIONS made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled reservation are eligible for a full refund in the form of a GIFT CARD to be used toward a future booking. Please note, monetary refunds are not issued regardless of the reason. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are non-refundable.
Can I just watch?
Yes, we allow spectators.
Can we take pictures & videos?
Take all the pictures you want and make sure to tag us on Facebook and Instagram!
What about accessibility?
Our facility is handicap accessible with an ADA compliant restroom. Our axe throwing experience is readily available for a wide range of people with different abilities.
